Okay, I wasn't planning on addressing this, but after seeing one of ~Goldoc's journals, I felt inspired to write something about it.

True friends. DeviantART is not MySpace, Facebook, MyFace, Bookspace, Facespace, MyBook, or anything with the sole purpose of conducting friendships. It's a place for art. If someone isn't being quite as "friendly" as you may like, then perhaps they just want to look at art. They have the right to do that, and there's no reason to frown upon them. Do not think that I want to go in that direction, deviantART is like a second life for me, and I have a set of true friends. That doesn't mean everyone has to comply, and if you aren't here for friendship so be it. Mostly though I agree with Goldoc's point, that favs, comments and the like have no real association with how good a friend someone is.

Same goes for the whole comment before faving thing. People comment if they have something to say. If they don't, they won't. Faving means you like something. Isn't that enough? It should be.

Well I still have a good number of things to draw for this journal but they will have to wait. This is due to the fact that I will be completely out, with no ability to connect to the internet, for about six weeks starting this coming Sunday. I will be gone from July 5^th all through August 14^th. Well that's not quite true, I'll be back for four out of those five Saturdays, but I doubt I will be on here and I certainly wont be working on the fanarts.

My last point will likely go unnoticed. I am a bit of a metal head (I like all sorts of music, metal is just one of my favorites) and have recently found a couple amazing bands labeled as "Nintendocore" such as HORSE the Band and Enter Shikari. Does anyone have recommendations, not only for these or similar bands, but for any music that you like? Thanks for sticking through here if you did.
